President George W Bush has been without email for 8 years.  I can’t barely go 8 seconds!  Three days before inauguration GWB sent an email to 42 of his friends which said…

“Since I do not want my private conversations looked at by those out to embarrass, the only course of action is not to correspond in cyberspace,” he wrote from his old address, G94B@aol.com. “This saddens me. I have enjoyed conversing with each of you.”

No President of the United States (to date) has ever used email while in office.  Unbelievable.

Naturally, Christians are livid.  In Washington, over the past five years, conservative Christian groups (such as the American Family Association and the Catholic League) have ramped up efforts to criticize and threaten boycotts of retailers who use generic “holiday” greetings.

So what exactly is a “humanist” you ask?  Well, it’s “a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism, affirms our responsibility to lead ethical lives of value to self and humanity.”

So… what the AD campaign seeks to do, is to instill a sense of morality to non-Christian people.  How on earth could that put-off Christians?  Seems “Christians” would want to promote the idea to introduce who they seek/define their guidance from.

“It’s a stupid ad,” the American Family Association said. “How do we define ‘good’ if we don’t believe in God? God in his word, the Bible, tells us what’s good and bad and right and wrong.  If we are each ourselves defining what’s good, it’s going to be a crazy world.”

Silly Christians.  There’s 1 BILLION people living in China that don’t believe in anything similar to your definition of “God”.  Are they all doomed to hell with no concept of the Bible’s definition of good and bad, right and wrong?

On a Rexburg Idaho elementary school bus last week, children started chanting “assassinate Obama” over and over and over.  Most of which didn’t even know what the word “assassinate” meant.  Wonder who taught them that hate speech?  Pretty sure it wasn’t Adam & stEVE.

Never one to paint people with the same brush…  Rexburg is 97.7% Caucasian.  In the 2004 General Election, the county Rexburg resides in (Madison) voted 93% in favor of GWB.  I’ll pass on making the last observation as it’s likely indicative of this specific population, but not of the organization.

I have a feeling Obama might push the Democratic party to the same place that President Bush has pushed the Republican party… and that is… ruins…  If he does, it will cause another paradigm shift to auto-correct the country back to conservatism.  Obama needs to flirt with the far left, but not take us there without our consent.

He echoed a point I brought up in an earlier post last night on CNN.

“It is unfortunate,” Schwarzenegger said. “But it is not the end because I think this will go back into the courts. … It’s the same as in the 1948 case when blacks and whites were not allowed to marry. This falls into the same category.”
