No commentsspring design & art, grandfather clock
I read about this product recently and ordered it on a whim. I’m quite impressed with it… great design, quality and very attractive. It’s 3” tall by 14” wide. Looks exactly like a slice out of a big ‘ole clock.

火警 errrr “Fire”
Really, there’s no purpose for a fireplace in Phoenix. Ever. However, if I were to want something, it would be something like this. Which is a mere $350 for a couple of 7.5 inch ”logs” mounted on slate.
When I build my first house, I want to put in an EcoSmart fireplace which are crazy cool. EcoSmart Fire is an Ausralian firm which produces these works of art. It burns denatured ethanol which is clean and virtually maintainance free. Take a look at some of their designs below.
No commentsDoor Hand-le
Amsterdam based designer Naomi Thellier de Poncheville designed the following door handle “hand-le”. While kinda cool, I’m a borderline germ-a-phobe as it is. I’d be hitting the Purell hard if this were in a public place.
No commentsVitamin, I.V. Plant Pot
I read about this ages ago, but came across it again recently. It’s a brilliant design. Little costly though, at £159.50. With this, maybe something would have a chance of living in my place.
No commentsBrush & Rinse
From Scott Amron and Amron Experimental, Inc. of New York he brings us “Brush & Rinse” which simply modifies the toothbrush to allow it to redirect water upwards so that you can rinse. Brilliant!
Expected retail of $3.00. You can own a prototype for a mere $1,750.
No commentsSticklebook, Invisible Bookshelf
My sister sent me this and I thought I’d post it. I personally use Umbra’s “Conceal” shelf for my limited collection of books but this would likely have been my choice had I know about it.
It’s called Sticklebook and apparantly grabs the pages by its teeth to hold the book in place. Mind you is is desiged for up to 13 small to average size PAPERBACK books only.
It’ll ship from Australia/New Zealand to the USA for around $43.00 USD.
No commentsLittle Joseph, by Maxim Velcovsky
I don’t much care for candles in general, but it’s only a matter of time before I break down and buy this weird thing and some drip candles to go with it. I don’t even know where to get drip candles… Maxim Velcovsky is a Czech designer. Has a shop in Prague… but my friend keeps forgetting to stop by to see if I can import them for less.
1 commentWar Bowl
Little dudes from the Battle of Waterloo, half British, half French, all cool… melted into a bowl.

US $229 here.
