Los Angeles based contemporary artists Davis & Davis created a series called Childish Things, where they stage mini-psychodramas on miniature sets with the toys portraying the conflicted children who left them behind.

Inversion is a temporary art installation created by two Houston sculptors Dan Havel and Dean Ruck who transformed two houses that are scheduled to be demolished by creating a large funnel like vortex that narrows down as it progresses from one end to another.  By Art League Houston.

Tra Selhtrow b. 1978

Tra Selhtrow’s compositions layer graphite, ink, and oil into distorted narratives inhabited by lucid animals, humans, and often a cross between the two. Selhtrow frames the subtle abstraction of human emotion into works that confide and conceal themselves before the viewer. Precise ink strokes are visited by unapologetic paint smears while faint graphite drawing fade into the background. Selhtrow’s works exhibit diligent craft and an eagerness to explore the possibilities of his mediums.
