Mitt isn’t well liked in his hometown…

Here’s a few excerpts from three, yes THREE of his hometown newspapers who have each published their disdain for him or encouraged their readers to vote elsewhere.  The Boston Globe published an editorial saying McCain is their choice for Republican candidate as did The Boston Herald aaaaaaaaaannnnnd my favorite,  The Concord Monitor who has this to say;romney

Mitt Romney, a disquieting figure who sure looks like the next president and most surely must be stopped.

When New Hampshire partisans are asked to defend the state’s first-in-the-nation primary, we talk about our ability to see the candidates up close, ask tough questions and see through the baloney. If a candidate is a phony, we assure ourselves and the rest of the world, we’ll know it.

Mitt Romney is such a candidate. New Hampshire Republicans and independents must vote no.

Oh my oh my how I agree…

Mitt Romney open’s his mouth… bull s#!+ falls out…

Romney delivered a speech on December 6, 2007 titled “Faith In America” in which he said; “I saw my father march with Martin Luther King.”  Now… if you don’t know this news yet… what would you assume that means?  Last time I checked, the word “with” meant “with”… there’s another word that’s a letter shorter and has quite a different meaning… that word is “for”.

Well, he’s being heavily criticized in the press because guess what… His farther didn’t march anywhere near, “with” or adjacent to Martin Luther King Jr…. ever.  At all.

Romney babbled this same “my father marched with MLK” on Sunday’s “Meet the Press” as well.  saying, “You can see what I believed and what my family believed by looking at our lives. My dad marched with Martin Luther King.”

Romney’s campaign has been forced to recant and has said Mr. Mitt said his recollections of watching his father, an ardent civil rights supporter, march with King were meant to be figurative.

Might sound trivial and maybe it is… but he’s still a total putz.

I’m really at a loss lately to find one redeeming quality in any of the Republican candidates running for president.  Rudy is a cross-dresser, Huckabee is a zealot, McCain is an ancient relic, Romney is a pandering idiot, Thompson can’t remember how to spell his own last name and needs 4 naps a day and WHO KNOWS who Tancredo and Hunter really are… which leaves mental case Ron Paul at the head of the class for at least being consistent and convicted.

New Music Monday, Jesca Hoop

Another MySpace launched unknown, Jesca Hoop hails from California.  From her website; One of five children in a fifth generation Mormon couple, Hoop was steeped in a musical environment created by her family. She began performing as a child and starred in her high school choir.  Within the last few years, Hoop formed a duo with a friend and started playing in Northern California clubs before going to work for the Waits family. The nature of this relationship and Hoop’s budding talent inspired the couple to become her mentors. “This was very fortuitous timing as I was myself a pretty mixed up kid and in dire need of direction at that point in my life,” she says.

When asked what her music is about, Hoop considers the question for several moments before replying. “To me it is about fostering the imagination…invention and making a life of one’s own. It’s very heart-centered music, and at the same time, there is something very playful and sensual about what I do. I try my best to give something away–to create something that someone can actually make use of, so that within that creation they can drive their own story.”

New Music Monday, The Bird And The Bee

Newcomers The Bird And The Bee are a duo from Los Angeles.  Indie/Electronica is what they are tagged as.  I actually bought their EP several months ago (their first release) and then this song popped up for free as the iTunes download of the day/week or whatever.  It’s my favorite Christmas song in fact.  Check out Again & Again if you like them.

Ellen to Jenna Bush… call yer Dad!

Jenna Bush was on the Ellen Degeneres show last week and Ellen asked how easy it was to pick up the phone and call her Dad.  She said it was pretty easy so Ellen pulled out a phone and asked her to call.  She did, and they answered… finding them both doing absolutly nothing at the time…  See video below;

Kyoto Protocol, USA is sole detractor

The new Prime Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd’s first official action was to sign the Kyoto Protocol.  This leaves the USA as the only country in the entire world (of consequence) who hasn’t committed to stand behind it.

The objective of the Kyoto Protocol is to achieve "stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system."

GREEN = Signed and ratified.

YELLOW = Signed, ratification pending.

RED = Signed, ratification declined.

GREY = No position.

Statistics…

No one cares I realize… but if I have ONE visitor from Africa, I’ll have had every (inhabited) continent covered.  50 countries have visited from 437 cities across the globe.  London and Berlin are the top two visiting cities outside the USA.  Torino (isn’t that Italy?) is dead last for visits.

CNN Reports Bush "seemingly contradicts" himself…

That’s another way of saying he lied.  Who’s surprised?  In August, Bush was told that Iran’s nuclear weapons program "may be suspended".  Confirm that statement from the intelligence chief, the government released a report this past Tuesday that says Iran indeed stopped it’s nuclear weapons initiatives in 2003.

art_bush_speech_cnnBush told reports in October, however, that "If you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be preventing [Iran] from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon."  He continued his rants on Iran this week as well.

He’s an idiot too and while you can’t vote for him again, maybe you should be ashamed you have.  I am.

God to Huckabee, “Hi, have we met?”

Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, when asked what his recent “surge” in polls is attributed to said that there was only ONE explanation.  His answer? The Divine, The Creator, The Omnipotent is the “only explanation”.  Watch the video, it’s priceless.  PRICELESS!

Don’t vote for him, he’s an idiot.

 UPDATE: The Washington Post is reporting that Huckadumbee was for the quarantine of all AIDS patients back in 1992.

In 1992, Huckabee wrote, “If the federal government is truly serious about doing something with the AIDS virus, we need to take steps that would isolate the carriers of this plague.”
