Thompson, > or < the intelligence of a box of rocks?
Errrrrrm, bow out already! Someone’s mother didn’t teach their son that if they don’t have anything nice intelligent to say, then they shouldn’t say anything at all! The headline says it all “Thompson unaware…” He hasn’t a clue as to who Teri Schiavo is, didn’t get the memo that in his home state last week a federal judge had ruled lethal injection uncontitutional (he’s a big supported of the death penalty). His campaign needs to write this man a SCRIPT, he’s much better at delivering someone elses lines than coming up with his own.
Bill O’Reilly to his viewers, “couldn’t get over it”, Blacks are the same as Whites?!?
Bill O’Reilly the bigot proclaims to all “white people” on September 19th, 2007 that at an Anita Baker concert “the blacks were well dressed” there was “no profanity“, they were “dressed in tuxedos” and “white America doesn’t know” any of this.
In a dinner he shared at a
Don Imus shouldn’t have been yanked off the air for his remarks while we give a national forum to the Iranian president to speak out and deny the holocaust happened and spew his hate in addition to then listen to this racist arrogant ass Bill O’Reilly spew more ignorance; EVERYONE should be offended by all three of those people and their remarks and as consumers, do something about it… don’t consume their products and they won’t have jobs. Stations could have dropped national syndication, University leaders could have demanded more interaction and less grand-standing, advertisers could refuse to buy airtime, etc… All things that affect the proliferation of all this hate speech.

P.S. I know this strikethrough is annoying but it’s kinda fun and subliminal and that’s how my (often) non-linear brain works.
Fund a war, or take care of American kids?
The House voted Tuesday to approve an expansion of SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program) which currently provides health care coverage for 6.6 million children of families who live above the poverty line but below an ability to afford health care. The expansion seeks to qualify an additional 4 million children. The President has long promised a veto of this bill saying it costs too much. The House failed to support it by a 2/3 vote which would override a Presidential veto. The buffoon President recently asked for an additional $200 billion to fund his war. A mere 41 days of the war would pay for this “costly” measure to provide health care to our children who can’t afford it. Priorities? Cluelessness?
Fuser, Unify your email
Fuser.com consolidates all your email accounts (and Facebook/MySpace) into one slick interface. I (like most) have several email accounts and upon registration and a little bit of use, I may start using Fuser quite a bit. You can add pretty much all webmail services and even Exchange accounts. Did I mention slick interface?! (though kinda sluggish at the get-go)
No commentsIranian President, NOT so important…
So I’m sure everyone has heard the nonsense coming out of dumber than a box of rocks Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s (President of Iran) mouth while at Columbia University yesterday. It was great to see him on TV spewing nonsense and the crowd erupting in laughter at his ignorance. The New York Times pointed out, however, that;
“The United States pays too much attention to Ahmadinejad,” said an Iranian political scientist who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal. “He is not that consequential.”
Indeed he’s not. He holds a very different power as “President”. He doesn’t command the military nor is he head of state. He often says ridiculous things… as this was a case-in-point.
No commentsChristian is as Christian does…
Eeek. “The Miracle Theatre”, a Christian performing group spent $90,440 on a full-page ad which ran today in the USA Today newspaper to condem Kathy Griffin for her recent remarks in acceptng an Emmy, and proclaimed “enough is enough“!
Here’s a few things $90,440 dollars can do;
It can pay to immunize 6029 children against 6 major childhood diseases. It can provide 1,808 families of 5 in Africa with enough food for one week. It can also save 90,440 lives from being ended by Malaria. A donation to (or patronage of) “The Miracle” in Tennessee can help 0 Christian or non-Christian people accomplish 0 Christian or non-Christian things which adds to a sum of 0 good for 0 people in addition to 0 accomplisments for their interpretation of Christianity.
No commentssatis an satis, enough is enough
More than $8,000 a second, $500,000 a minute and $720,000,000 per day is the monetary cost of the war in Iraq. In confirmed DOD military lives, it’s cost more than 2 per day, 70 per month at 3799 total in the past 55 months. In Iraqi lives, it’s cost 38 a day, more than 1,100 per month and 37,629 for the past 33 months.
